  Young People's Media

Our award winning young peoples media projects range from film making to journalism, from photography to animation, from classroom based media literacy programmes to summer schools. We combine participation and training with high quality production values, and our work is regularly screened at festivals nationally and internationally. Practical engagement with young people and media lies at the heart of what we do.

Our work is split into three strands:

Film School – Participatory film making productions that give young people access to equipment and industry backed training to produce high quality short films.

Shoot Out – Shoot Out is a filmmaking project that gives young people aged 13-19 the practical skills and confidence to make films that support their local communities and express their own opinions and creativity.

MediaEd – From specialised media projects in schools to film screenings, teacher training and support for the Creative and Media Diploma our work in education seeks to develop and strengthen media and film literacy across the curriculum.

We regularly offer work based training opportunities and work experience for young people and are committed to the development of creative media skills for young people, giving them a voice in their own communities.
