Summer School
SUMMER SCHOOL gave 20 participants a fantastic hands-on experience in all aspects of filmmaking.
As well as devising, writing and acting in the main feature film 'Waiting for Superman', which was directed and crewed by professionals, they were also taught how to use the latest DV cameras, digital editing, lights and sound as they made their own behind the scenes documentaries.
During the two weeks the participants were able to draw upon a wealth of professional experience from film, television and theatre to lead them through the process, including a workshop on film soundtrack composition by the Waiting for Superman composer Kim Humphrey.
The finished films were all premiered at The Odeon in Hereford in August to an enthusiastic audience of over 200 people, giving all the participants the taste of the big screen premiere.
