1. EXT. COUNTRY.DAY. A bleak, vast landscape. We HEAR a frantic heartbeat and then the pounding of feet. We see an image of a river, running fast and mercilessly.
2. EXT. COUNTRY ROAD.DAY. We see a young man named DOM, running along the roadside, looking anxious. He pauses and catches his breath and looks back up the road. He carries a battered suitcase. He dries his eyes, as though clearing them of tears.
3. INT. HOUSE. DAY. A flashback scene. We see DOM standing in the living room face to face, toe to toe, with his FATHER.
DOM
I’m going. There’s nothing for me here. Nothing.
FATHER
Fine! Get out.
You’re nothing but grief anyway!
Go on, go and find your mother!
DOM looks at his father with resolve and pushes past him.
