Over the Hill?
An awareness raising programme about the experiences of older people in rural areas. Using participative media to gather stories direct from the ‘horses mouth’ about housing issues, financial exclusion and other challenges that have a particular rural slant. To make an impact on policy makers, service providers and even getting the general public to think twice about the idyll of retiring to the countryside! Funded by the Nationwide Foundation for 3 years.
Same But Different
Focussing on rural diversity. Participative film making with groups in Herefordshire from across the diversity spectrum; race, gender, religion or belief, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender change to produce lively and entertaining testimony. We are working closely the Diversity Team at Herefordshire Council, to use the films to spread the word among the public, voluntary and community sector about how to improve accessibility and openness to all members of society. Funded by the Equality and Human Rights Commission for 2 years.
