This 15 minute VHS video shows two people on a journey of discovery about mental ill health and learning disability issues – notably stigma – through events which happen to them over the course of a day. The story line borrows from A Christmas Carol and is told in a lighthearted way.
The video comes with an accompanying booklet, which provides a structured way of using the video, as both a way to challenge stigma amongst the wider public and to train workers in the field of mental ill health and learning disability in conducting care assessments. |
 | The booklet includes the relevant text from the video and raises a number of issues, which can be discussed, and provides the co-ordinator/trainer with much background information on definitions, clinical causes and legislation, as well as outlines for group discussions and exercises.
Produced by The Rural Media Company on behalf of South Staffordshire Health Authority and Staffordshire County Council Social Services Department in 2001.
Available to purchase on VHS (incl. booklet) @ £5.00 inc vat and p&p. To order please select and complete the preferred order form below and send with the appropriate payment.
