The Rural Media Company was founded in 1992 – and since then it has grown rapidly. Hundreds of professionals have worked with us in the last decade, on projects which unite the values of community arts with the standards of the media industries.

We offer a unique rural community media centre of excellence. Our work is nationally recognised - we have won awards from the British Film Institute, the Birmingham International Film and TV Festival and the National Film Theatre – and we are partners in regeneration initiatives, delivering services close to the ground.

The Rural Media Company is funded by the Screen West Midlands and a range of national trusts and charities. We have effective partnerships with local, regional and national bodies, based on shared aims and an established track record of successful projects. But we don't just rely on grants – we help fund ourselves with successful commissioned work.

We're here to share our expertise.
