Youth & Education

Developed in partnership with Women's Aid, The Midcounties Co-operative and West Mercia's Women's Aid, the Can You See Me? project produced an easy-to-use resource aimed at young people aged 15 and 16 that can be used in schools and other educational settings to explore the issue of domestic abuse in teenage relationships.

Accompanying booklet can be downloaded here

"Nearly 75% of girls and 50% of boys have experienced some sort of emotional partner abuse, and one in three girls have experienced some form of sexual partner violence."

NSPCC and University of Bristol

As well as a lesson plan resource, the project included a gripping 20-minute film about teenage couple Jake and Ellie that explores the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships, with a focus on domestic abuse in this vulnerable age group.
