Over The Hill?

Over The Hill? was a national campaign highlighting the challenges faced by those growing older in the countryside and questioning assumptions about the services rural older people want and need.
It was funded by the Nationwide Foundation for three years from the beginning of 2010 until December 2012.
Rather than waiting until they get to retirement age, Over The Hill? urged people to lobby politicians, service providers and government to make sure their local rural services lived up to expectations and provided them with real choices in retirement.
Rural Media continues to lobby policy makers to take note of our campaign findings.
