Lizzie Lomas is an actor and writer based in a rural village in the North West. She’s a member of the Bafta Award Winning Television Workshop and has had roles in: No Offence, Hollyoaks and starred in the NFTS and BFI short film A Hard Place. A keen poetry and prose writer, Lizzie has worked alongside HOME theatre’s Young Identity throughout 2022. She is set to be published in their No Disclaimers Anthology series in spring 2023. Over the years Lizzie’s writing has developed into short and feature length narrative. The common thread connecting Lizzie’s work is that its heavily influenced by her own experiences growing up in a rural community and the constant pursuit of connectivity within our society. On being made a trustee, Lizzie said: “Empowering people in rural communities and promoting a greater understanding of their culture, history, and ways of life through art is a very exciting and inspiring mission therefore I’m both honoured and incredibly happy to be joining Rural Media’s board of trustees.”
